Established in 2007 and registered as a non-banking financial institution by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka, our main objective is to enhance the living standards of Sri Lanka’s rural population by providing financial products that satisfy their unique needs.Our product portfolio comprises of agricultural, corporate, and personal loans, leasing, hire purchases, and pawning, among others. We are licensed by the Monetary Board of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka under the Finance Business Act. No. 42 of 2011. We also obtained a listing on the Colombo Stock Exchange in 2012. Today, we operate 19 branches and 31 service centres across Sri Lanka, with a customer base that exceeds 150,000.

Mr. Sudath Jayasaundara, an Attorney at Law joined Bimputh on 13th February 2013. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from the Colombo University and also a Diploma in International Affairs from the Bandaranaike Centre for International Studies. He also serves on the Boards of Harischandra Mills Matara PLC, Bogawantalawa Plantations PLC, Metropolitan Resources PLC and Sithara Limited
Mr. Chamindra Gamage joined the Board of Directors on the 8th March 2013. He holds both an Msc. in Accounting and Finance and a Bsc. (Hons) in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science. Before elevation to the Board, Chamindra served the Company as the General Manager – Marketing and Business Development since April 2011. Prior to joining Bimputh Finance, Chamindra has served at diversified conglomerates including MAS Capital and Sampath Chinkara Securities. Presently, he also holds directorship in several of Daya Group’s subsidiaries.
Ms. Manjaree Gamage holds a BA. In economics from the University of Durham. She also has a MSc. in Management and Human Resources from the London School of Economics and is a member of the Charted Institute of Personal Development.
Ms. Manjaree has worked for Global insurance and Human capital consultancy firm Willis Towers Watson and has prior experience at leading companies in Sri Lanka, Such as Daya Group of companies and MAS Holdings. She currently holds the Managing Director position at Blue Diamonds Jewellery Worldwide PLC.
Mr. Kariyawasam Pathirage Chandrasoma Sudarshana Piyathilaka has over 25 years of extensive managerial experience in hte banking and Finance sector.
As a career banker at Indian overseas bank, a leading international bank, He has had comprehensive exposure to all areas of commercial banking covering imports/exports, Foreign exchange dealing, Fund management, Remittances, HR & Administration , Operations, Customer relations, Credit.
He has served as the Chief Executive Officer of Bimputh Finance in 2010.
Mr. Piyathilaka has also served as a banking & investment consultant to several private sector SME’s in construction, F&B, Retails and Import export sectors.
He holds professional qualifications from the institute of Data Processing Management(IDPM) London, NIBM diploma in computer system design from the National Institute Of Business Management, Colombo. Part qualifications from the Institute of Bankers of Sri Lanka.
Mrs. Godamunne, the Financial Controller at Aurther C. Clark Institute for Modern Technologies joined Bimputh on 01st April 2013. Though, she was appointed to the Board on 01st April her appointment was in fact approved by Central Bank of Sri Lanka on 25th March 2013. She is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (U.K) (ACMA) since 1988 and before joining Arthur C Clarke Institute, she had been at Airport & Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) as the Assistant General Manager – Finance and at Sri Lanka Land Reclamation & Development Corporation as the Senior Accountant. She counts over 37 years work experience in finance and operations.
